I'm considering going on one. But I'm terrified. There are so many disaster scenarios that go through my head when I think of blind dates, even though I've never been on one myself. Anyone out there have some experience? Did you ever go on a blind date and actually have fun? Desperately need some advice!

It can be helpful before you go on the official date to contact each other via email or even a conversation via online chat. This way you get to know a little more about each other so it's not a complete surprise.

Hmm... haven't been on one... but a couple we know met that way and now they are married, so you never know, i guess.
Ooh, do it! I never have (basically haven't been single my entire adult life) but would love to try it out sometime.
What's the worst that could happen? You don't get along, but you get a (probably) get story!
Did you have your "blind date"? How was it? If you have pets you can talk about them. I have 45 (spayed and neutered) house cats.

haven't gone on it yet, my "suitor" is away on a trip, my friend told me he'll be calling though, so we'll see :)
I have never had fun on a blind date. They've all been terrible and super awkward. But then again, all 3 of them were in high school and all against my will, so that may have been against me...
