After 2 weeks of experimenting with the renewing/listing v.s. not renewing/listing I've come to the conclusion that yes, renewing and or listing does actually make a difference. On the days where I didn't even look at
my shop, there wasn't much activity, but when I kept myself at the top of the searches by listing and/or renewing I got much more traffic which actually equated into a few sales. So, in order not to be invisible, listing and/or renewing must be made a priority. So, ok
Etsy, lesson learned. :)

it is so true... i hate that! :)
i love your blog!
Renewing is my new best friend. I hate to do it, but sometimes I can't add a new-new items everyday!
I have heard that renewing or listing to stay in the top of listings helps eith views and sales. I guess the frequency would also depend on your category.
I've been experimenting too... it can be time consuming and I haven't really seen the fruits of my labor yet (besides lots of exposure) Keep up the good work on your blog!
You have days when you don't look at your shop?! I must be addicted as I do it all the time!!
But yes, good point and I try and list or renew every day.
I'm sure Etsy thanks me every month when my bill is due!
